04/26/2005: "100% SILK UMBRELLAS -NOW AVAILABLE In Lime-Green, Pink-Peach and Black"

A punch of colour for rainy days!

What could be more cheerful than a lime-green silk umbrella, or a pink-peach silk umbrella, to chase the clouds away! As always, hand-made by Barrington Brolly to exacting standards.

We also have the ever-elegant black silk fuji for those who prefer their colours a little more subdued!

Each panel seam is sewn twice. For *manual open umbrellas, a fabric casing is sewn around each rib hinge to provide additional protection to the canopy fabric (*automatic black metal frames are assembled differently, but still have additional fabric protection at the hinge).

All sewing assembly is done using Gutermann thread.

All umbrellas have hand-sewn black metal snaps on the ties.

Important Information on Owning a Silk Umbrella

A silk umbrella requires a little more care than regular umbrellas:
- never use a silk umbrella as a sun-shade;

- never dry a wet silk umbrella in the sun;

- never leave the umbrella where it can be exposed to bright light,
such as the back seat of a car or, intense indoor lighting;

- dry silk umbrellas away from bright light or sun, and when completely dry,
fold fabric neatly around the frame and close with the tie;

- store dry silk umbrellas in their protective cases, where they will be
ready for the next rainy day.
