02/13/2008: ""WALK ON THE WILD SIDE" with Barrington Brolly"

2007 was an exciting year for Barrington Brolly. Catherine Zuber, Costume Designer, won the 2007 Tony Award for her costuming for the Broadway play, "The Coast of Utopia". As you may recall, we provided the parasols and umbrellas for this marathon Broadway play. And, although it was a small contribution, we are overjoyed at having had the opportunity.

WHAT'S NEW FOR 2008

Well, we're taking a Walk on the Wild Side, and offering you an opportunity to come along with us.

We are working on our 2008 collection of 'wild' umbrellas. 'Wild' being python-print and leopard-print. But not to worry, these creatures are given the glam treatment by being printed on 100% silk charmeuse.

That's right! 100% silk charmeuse leopard-print umbrellas, and 100% silk charmeuse python-print umbrellas. We even have some special handles imported from Italy, such as the cobra handle for the python-print; or a bamboo handle for the leopard-print. We'll have some pictures ready for your shortly.

How can Barrington Brolly offer such decadent and sexy fabrics for their umbrellas? Well, we choose only sumptuous fabrics, and unsual prints for our umbrellas. Then, we have all the fabric commercially treated for water repellency.

We are also importing small quantities of truly unique umbrella fabrics from Milan, Italy.

That's why a Barrington Brolly makes a statement. Dare to be different!
