This walnut-wood umbrella, is a sample of our new umbrella design/construction. It is currently for sale in Ground Waves West, a local shop, currently located in Gibsons Public Market, in Gibsons, BC, but it can be replicated, using a variety of different colour rain-fabrics. This style umbrella, was completely assembled by Joan Barrington, Owner, Barrington Brolly. So what exactly does that mean?

This means that all mechanical components were attached/inserted into the walnut-wood shaft, by Joan Barrington. So this is quite a unique umbrella. Not only the wood used (walnut), but also that it was completely hand-created …. from the creation of the actual shaft, to the canopy. And, the walnut-wood shaft was treated over a period of 4 days, before being finished, with mechanical pieces.

Of particular interest in this walnut-wood umbrella design, is that 4 of the metal pieces were custom-made for all Barrington Brolly wood shafts, of this diameter. And they were made of solid brass, with a 24K gold finish.

The umbrella was finished in dark-brown rain fabric, imported from England, and a Barrington Brolly signature brown-leather handle, was attached.

Again, this is a sample, that can be reproduced in a number of fabric colours, as well as a number of leather-handle colours. Or, this particular one can be purchased through Ground Waves West, in Gibsons, BC.
